Reimagined & Refined: A fresh take on GPR

GPR ships top-quality racewear to enthusiasts around the world. This high-quality racewear meets the regulations and functional requirements for participation in karting, rallying, track days, and motor racing. They’ve always been clear about their values; remaining open, knowledgeable and passionate about providing customers with motorsports products they can succeed in. However, they struggled with their visual brand identity and felt that their current logo and design style didn’t embrace their core values or represent the right message.  

Grand Prix Racewear wanted to communicate that they are a dedicated team committed to the people: they exist to support the needs of those who participate in motorsport at any level, whether they are hobbyists and enthusiasts or serious competitors. 

TFA’s talented team of graphic designers got to work to create a fresh logo and a polished visual identity, something that would be memorable, get people engaged with the brand, and have a real meaning that connected with their audience. Outdated designs or inconsistent branding can tarnish any brand’s reputation and messaging, so it was essential that our design specialists created a comprehensive style guide that GPR could use for every marketing need, from packaging to digital platforms.  

What did the rebrand aim to achieve?

Visual elements like colour schemes, logos, and typography can communicate much more than just aesthetics—they convey messages about the brand’s tone, personality, and values.

One of the key marks of the GPR rebrand was the creation of a new logo, the addition of swooping lines representing the Stowe corner of the Silverstone track (one of the fastest corners of the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit). The team wanted to incorporate a part of motorsports into the logo to stand out from competitors and introduce a recognised concept to all motorsport enthusiasts.  

The team created promotional banners with sharp product shots and punchy copy. This redesign transformed GPR’s identity from unclear to authentic, from muted to fresh; showing motorsports heritage in everything they do.
