After successfully organising Aylesbury College’s Applications Driver Campaign in 2011, they approached us again to create a new and exciting promotional campaign for their newly-opened University Technical College and their courses in IT and Sustainable Construction. Using a mix of interactive leaflet designs, press advertisements and unique, eye-catching public displays, we created a campaign that not only caught the public’s attention, but also the interest of the press.
We also commissioned a young and inventive artist to assist us with realising our plans and advising on the building of massive 10-foot sculptures made from recycled materials. Once our designs and components had been confirmed, we then set about identifying 3 key event locations that would gain the maximum public awareness.
Events staged by TFA in November and December 2012 gained regional press coverage and were an unparalleled success for both Bucks UTC and us. Members of the public were encouraged to get involved with the building of huge sculptures made from discarded building materials and scrap computer components; this in turn, lead to a vast amount of new application enquiries for the UTC.
The sculpture events also gained regional press coverage via local radio and newspapers - something that the UTC was keen target. Our 3rd and final event on 26th January 2013 has already generated a large amount of interest from the public and press; something that we are proud to have accomplished.
The amount of organisation and planning for these public events is something we at TFA excel in. From initial idea conception all the way through to organising venues and materials, we are able to offer complete outdoor activity management that is both exceptional and proven.
