Performance Preparation Academy is one of the UK's leading performing arts academies in the UK. Based in the heart of Guilford, Surrey, they were keen to make the most of their online presence with the build of a brand new website, but also engage with their audience through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
When PPA approached TFA to re-design their site, it already had a fairly good online presence, with some sporadic uses of SEO (Search Engine Optimised) content and a couple of links to their social channels. However, the original website design did not make the most of using all their social media or make it easy for PPA to engage with their core audience.
Our website development team looked at designing and building a site that would not only be visually appealing and easy to navigate, but also make the most of the wealth of social media opportunities that PPA had to offer. A key consideration was to also make the website mobile responsive and to enable the user to have a fantastic experience regardless of the device it was being viewed on.
Our graphic design studio looked to evolve the already-established design of PPA’s site to give it a full-screen, seamless user journey. Another feature that was included was also a Social Media ‘WonderWall’. This was a one-stop shop for users to see all of PPA’s social media activities in one place; be it Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube or Tumblr.
Along with implementing these features, our SEO and Social Media Marketing specialists implemented a Facebook advertising campaign to drive up traffic to the site. We also now manage PPA’s social media output and report facts and figures on a monthly basis.
The build of the new website was complimented by a bespoke CMS system which allows PPA to update the site’s content and imagery whenever they please. The site went live in early February 2015 and alongside the concerted social media management, the site has been very well received by both PPA and its students-alike. PPA’s website is also something of a favourite here at TFA, and one we are very proud to share!
